Oh I like her already! :D And that is a killer smile. XD

A little suggestion though- try to design your frames so that you can place the bubble that should be read first on the left-most side, and over the one that is supposed to be read second. It will help the flow of your dialogue better. :)

Such a nice smile. Can she go out in the day?

Yes, but not comfortably. Wide-brimmed hats and the fact that cities have lots of shadows help. In our world they're less unnatural; they're a nocturnal species with hypersensitive senses, so sunlight is more overwhelming than actually dangerous.

So he's a mind reader? Was he reading Baxt's mind?

Nah he's more of a gentleman than that....most of the time ;)

So he has some control over his gift? That has quite a implications, and leads to a few other questions. For example, how much control does he have?

In another of the webcomics I read the protagonist doesn't.

I wonder if a vampire might suspect what Bijo is, or is not. Anyway, that's a total invasion of privacy, reading someone's mind. Different rules for different worlds. But, if his mind reading secret ever gets out he's gonna be a big target for the criminally inclined. I loved their banter on this page, by the way. :)

As to your first point, heh heh you'll have to wait and find out, but I'll hint that she has a great sense of smell and can hear heartbeats, soooo she tends to pick up on oddities...;) as to the second point, it IS an invasion of privacy, true...but when you're born with an innate ability, I think your choices are a) use it for good, b) use it for evil, or c) try not to use it and go batshit crazy. And all detectives good at their jobs get a few people angry at them ;) What do you think?

If that's the case, I wonder if he's giving off certain pheramones? ;-) I wonder if Baxt feels the same way?

If you're referring to Baxt's own abilities, as the comic goes on, you'll notice all the Bothare tend to be pretty blunt with people they're comfortable around, because there's not a lot of point to their culture in pretending you can't see what you can. It'd be like pretending you couldn't see the color blue. Even when she's watching what she says, Baxt can be pretty straightforward when she sees a lie ;) As to the question of control, wait and see :D

Sorry, I should have made myself clearer. His supervisor has a good sense of smell. That leads me to wonder if she was just teasing him or whether she smelt something that told her that he was falling for Baxt?

Her body language and expression says that she's teasing him but the knowledge that she has a good sense of smell makes me wonder.
